That, I don't know. she might have. But what I'm sayin', is a failure to connect in a significant way to your inmate, especially in a temp pairin', doesn't necessarily mean you're a failure as a warden. Sylvanas and Arthas are like, the Mount Everest of inmates.

I told her we didn't have to like each other, and I meant it. I wasn't trying to force nothing on her; I wasn't. I-- I wasn't.

I'm not gettin' the impression she cared much about what you were tryin' to do.

I failed the Admiral, Boyd. He said he had faith in me and I fucking blew it.

I know, but I still kinda failed him, 'cause he thought I could do it and I couldn't.

He ain't God, Tiffany, no matter what his powers are. He's just askin' too much of you here... too much of anyone.

What if he kicks me off the Barge?

He's not gonna do that. Havin' faith in someone means it ain't conditional.

[He does know that, even if he doesn't have any faith any longer himself.]

I bet he had faith in other people he's kicked off.

You don't know that's necessarily true. Has he ever threatened you, or any warden you know with bein' kicked off?

Has he ever said he didn't have faith in somebody?

[demolitions]

Not that I've ever heard. Although demotion'd be pretty obvious wrist-slap. If he didn't kick those wardens off, he's not gonna do so to you.

Maybe Luna should be Sylvanas's warden.

I don't know whose warden I should be.

[demolitions]

It's just temporary. No-one expects you to rehabilitate her in the next three weeks.

I'm surprised it wasn't Lourdes.

[tucky]

I wasn't trying to rehabilitate her at all.

I wish it had been Lourdes.

[demolitions]

Well, she must not've viewed it that way.

I don't doubt Lourdes will be a unique challenge for someone as well.

[tucky]

I told her I wasn't even gonna try to make her talk to me. I just said I'd listen if she wanted to tell me anything.

I get along with her, though. I just wish she hadn't been the one who had to find me, 'cause it was hard on her.

Well, I ain't never spoke to her, but she seems like a 'How dare you speak to me, puny mortal' type. In a lot of respects, Arthas seems more reasonable.

I guess that's a good sign, that she feels somethin' for you.

Yeah, I think that's what it was; she didn't want me even offering to speak to her.

We're friends, me and Lourdes. She's deciding who gets to come and visit me right now.

[demolitions]

Why is that up to Lourdes? She ain't been here long enough to know who your friends are?

[tucky]

I decided it can be up to her. I think she's feeling more comfortable if only people she trusts come here right now.

[And she trusts... barely anybody.]

[demolitions]

Yeah, okay. As long as you decided that.

[He's just going to wonder if that Enclosure-based mind manipulation has any lasting effects.]

I want to make her feel safe.

[demolitions]

That's a good thing for you to want.

[He feels uneasy about her letting Lourdes dictate things, but he's not going to argue about it right now, considering Tiffany's ordeal.]

It's the only thing I can do, 'cause I don't know what to do for myself right now.

How about if you rest up and stop worryin' about other people for a while.

I don't wanna stop because then I'd have to worry about me, and I don't know what I'm gonna do if I start thinking about that stuff more.
